DEATH: The End Of A Journey

darefire This album is invasive and terrifying and sometimes hurts my ears, and brings a sense of rawness and danger that I often find is lacking in Dark Ambient. It adds really nicely to the emotional weight of the topics of the album and makes for an underrated, compelling album for the genre and it’s own thing entirely. Perfect length of songs and a great blend of sadness and terror, also touching on aspects of the human emotional experience that fail to fit into words but are captured well here.

about

Hello & thank you for checking out this record that was a journey to create during an extremely difficult period. This was put together during a time of loss & mourning. Here is a run down with each track & how it ties with my understanding of death in the other side
1. Waking Up To A Different World
This is where this period begins. Some dark things were happening in the world & this phrase got spoken many times while I was following events. It stood out & stayed with me. Everything came naturally when putting this track together.
2. Lost Time
A death happened & it was someone I cared about deepley while the shock was fresh all I could think about was the time lost & facing the reality that I will never see this person on this side of excistance agin.
3. Gloom
During the period of mourning while in the meditative state I record in this piece I felt capturing the dark gloomy part of processing loss.
4. Spector
When I record & put together Cosmic Abyss material I am usually in a meditative state. Sometimes I start to reflect on past experiences. I started to reflect on a past experience that happened during a past experience of loss. It was a strange paranormal thing that happened in my life I still can't explain & unfortunately won't go into detail here. It is something that still haunts me.
5.Dread
Dread is based on the horrible reality that death is something we all face at some point. Even though some of us accept it the mystery of what happens at that point can fill the mind with horrifying fear.
6. Lights End
I from time to time think about the claim of when you are leaving this existence or come close you see a light.
7. Exception
When processing the dark things happening around me a stage of exception eventually hits as these things are part of life. Even though everything hurts it's a necessary lesson in understanding our existence.
8.Last Gasp
One thing I dread is the last gasp you give when leaving this existence & crossing over to what happens next. I am not religious but I am a spiritualist. From my experiences in life I have been through things that have had me think that death is not an end but is an end of a journey. I don't know what will happen when my time is up but it is something I think about.
Thank you for the support. I know this one was dark but this is why I started this project.
